  1. This tale reminds me of a story I read in school many years ago called "Trick Or Trick".

    The story dealt with some young toughs who went out trick or treating, but mentioned to those giving out candy that they didn't want candy but bread (cash). If they didn't get their treat, they would have to play a trick on the homeowner, and not the harmless type of trick either.
    They eventually arrived at the home of an old lady who agreed to give them money but only if they entered her house. Later on, some trick or treaters showed up at the door of the old lady. She gave them chocolate candy that had the appearance of the young toughs who the trick or treaters had seen earlier on that night.

    I have not had any luck tracking down the story on the web, but this comic made me think of that tale.

  2. I am going to look around for that tale too. That story would have made a great Charlton comics horror tale.
